What a week it was! From March 31 to April 3, the IGS Primary School was transformed into a vibrant time machine. Together with Panda Lucy, the young explorers travelled through the Stone Age, Ancient Egypt, the Middle Ages, and modern times – full of curiosity, imagination, and a spirit of discovery.
Each morning began with an exciting question from the past, waiting to be solved. Through letters from long-forgotten times, role-playing, puzzles, and creative activities, the children immersed themselves in the fascinating world of past eras.
One particularly wonderful aspect: social studies and the natural sciences went hand in hand – making history come alive and technology understandable. Whether exploring historical contexts, major inventions, or everyday life in ancient times, the children researched, built, painted, played, and marveled.
For each completed daily challenge, they received a stamp sticker in their personal “Time Travel Passport” – proudly presented at the end of the week. The excitement and enthusiasm were huge – both among the children and us teachers.
A big thank you to all the students, teachers, and of course, to Panda Lucy for this unforgettable week full of adventure, learning, and laughter. We’re already looking forward to the next project – and to a future full of new discoveries.
