A Significant Milestone on the Way to Becoming an IB World School

On October 29 and 30, IGS Hefei had the pleasure of welcoming Mr. Philip Hayes, IB Diploma Programme Consultant, to our campus. The two-day visit marked an important step on our journey toward authorization as an IB World School.

During his stay, Mr. Hayes had the opportunity to get to know our school community, our team, and our educational philosophy more closely.

At the center of the visit were classroom observations and discussions focusing on inquiry-based learning – the spirit of exploration and discovery that is lived every day at IGS Hefei.

Learning in Open Settings

Throughout the classroom visits, the variety and creativity of learning at IGS Hefei became evident. Our open learning environments offered many opportunities to explore, experiment, and ask questions independently.

The modern classrooms, laboratories, and specialized learning spaces reflect what IGS Hefei stands for: curiosity, responsibility, and joy in learning.

Moving Forward Together

In addition to the classroom observations, in-depth meetings with the leadership team provided an opportunity to discuss the next steps on our path toward IB authorization.

For the entire IGS Hefei team, the consultation was a valuable moment to reflect together and to plan the upcoming stages of development.
