Putting Our Odd Socks Forward

This year our school took a fresh approach to the national anti-bullying initiative by extending Odd Socks Day into a full Odd Socks Week, giving students more time and space to celebrate individuality in creative ways.

Throughout the week, classrooms buzzed with colour as pupils designed and decorated their own socks, turning them into bold statements about identity, kindness, and confidence where  many embraced the joy of being different.

To complement the hands-on activities, students also produced digital posters that explored the theme of celebrating uniqueness. Using photography, illustration, and graphic design, they created thoughtful messages that encouraged acceptance and respect, both online and in person.

By the end of the week, hallways were lined with vibrant artwork, sparking conversations about what it means to be yourself and to support others in doing the same. Odd Socks Week reminded us that embracing our differences isn’t a one-day event, it’s an everyday mindset, built step by step, sock by sock.
