Last week, we were thrilled to welcome Julia Ahrens from Undütsch and Alexander Keibach from Waldner to the construction site of our new International German School Hefei (IGS Hefei). Both experts brought invaluable expertise and innovative ideas to significantly advance the completion of our school building and its planned facilities.
Importing Classroom Furniture: Comfort and Functionality in Focus
Julia Ahrens, representing Undütsch, and her team took decisive steps to import furniture for our classrooms. Carefully selected to meet both ergonomic and pedagogical requirements, this equipment will form the heart of our modern learning environment. Ms. Ahrens’ expertise ensures that our learning spaces will not only be aesthetically pleasing but also functional and comfortable.
High-Tech Lab and Makerspace: Fostering Innovation and Creativity
Alexander Keibach from Waldner also visited, bringing his expertise in designing modern learning spaces for STEM subjects. The focus was on our interdisciplinary high-tech lab and STEM wing, which will also include a makerspace and innovation hub. Together with our STEM coordinator, Dirk Kehm, we finalized the details of the lab’s equipment and discussed the implementation of ideas for the makerspace. These spaces will empower our students to express their creativity and experiment with cutting-edge technology.
The visits from Ms. Ahrens and Mr. Keibach mark significant milestones on the road to opening IGS Hefei. We are excited about the progress and look forward to welcoming our students to an innovative and inspiring environment.
Stay tuned for more updates on the development of IGS Hefei – there’s a lot of exciting things happening.
