The following documents must either be sent directly with your application form or be provided to the school no later than four weeks after your child’s enrolment

5. Declaration of consent

We understand, accept, and support the school philosophy, rules, and regulations of IGS Hefei. We accept that the submission of the enrollment form does not automatically entitle the child to a place in the school and that the school reserves the right to terminate the enrollment process if false statements have been made or the school is unable to provide funds for special care needs.

Personal data

I undertake to inform the school immediately and at my own responsibility in the event of any changes to the personal data (address, telephone number, etc.) of myself, my child or the emergency contact.

I agree to allow my child’s name and my address, telephone number and email to be included on group/year lists and shared with other parents (e.g. parent representatives on the relevant committees).

I agree that personal data may be shared confidentially with the authorities under the statutory obligation to provide information.

I (on behalf of both parents) agree that my child may be photographed or filmed during school events or selected moments in the learning process and that these photographs may be used in publications of IGS (eg IGS’s homepage, newsletters, brochures, newspaper articles, annual bulletins, social media, radio and television broadcasts.  They may also be archived and used as aforementioned even after the child has left IGS Hefei.

Images and video recordings that I have produced myself or that have been provided to me by the school may not be shared with third parties or uploaded to social media channels.

Medical attention and health insurance

The parents/guardians agree that medical assistance may be provided in the event of an accident or the sudden onset of symptoms.  The school can decide whether transport to a doctor's surgery or hospital needs to be arranged.

I confirm that the child I am applying to enrol at the International German School Hefei is covered by health insurance valid for international clinics.

Pick up from school/ school bus

Children may only be brought or picked up to/ from school by authorised persons. The school does not accept any responsibility for incidents occurring outside the school grounds (except for organised excursions) or in cases where school regulations are violated or failure to follow instructions from teachers are the cause of damage.

School activities

The parents/ guardians agree that their child may participate in all school activities, including sports, swimming, after-school activities, festivals and celebrations and excursions. Excursions and after-school activities may incur additional costs.

Additional special needs

I agree that teachers may seek expert advice from a special needs team, provided that I am informed beforehand. If my child is deemed to have a special need that calls for a detailed diagnosis, I agree to allow this diagnosis to be carried out in consultation with the relevant head of department, and to allow the appropriate treatment and any other measures deemed necessary. I agree to provide any reports on my child’s diagnosis and treatments.

The School and its employees shall not be liable for the loss or damage of students' personal property caused by student negligence, including but not limited to careless handling, improper storage, or failure to secure belongings or third-party actions including but not limited to Items lost or damaged by other students, visitors, or unauthorized individuals.

I acknowledge the terms of payment and the regulations of the IGS Hefei as adopted and published by the responsible bodies. I understand that the terms of payment are reviewed annually and that the current fee at the time I submit my application may not be the same as the fee payable when my child is enrolled at the school.

If my child is accepted by the International German School Hefei, this document shall constitute the school contract.

I hereby declare that all the information provided is true and accurate to the best of my knowledge.

6. Registration

Hereby we register our child at the International German School Heifei.
