An Important Milestone on Our Journey: Approval Visit from Cambridge International Education

On 26 March, we were pleased to welcome Ms Isabella Mao from Cambridge International Education to our campus. Her visit marked an important step in our journey towards becoming part of the renowned Cambridge International network of schools.

Why Cambridge?

Our decision to pursue a partnership with Cambridge is about far more than strategy. It reflects our educational values and convictions.

Cambridge is recognised worldwide for an approach to education that closely aligns with the philosophy we uphold at IGS: holistic learning, project-based approaches, and consistently student-centred teaching. It also creates an opportunity for learners in our English-medium pathway to work towards the Cambridge IGCSE qualification in Grade 10, an internationally recognised qualification with an excellent global reputation. Through Cambridge, we are not only gaining access to highly respected qualifications, but also joining a global network of like-minded schools and a shared educational framework that reflects our core values.

The Approval Visit

Ms Mao spent a full and intensive day at our school. She held in-depth discussions with our leadership team and teaching staff, while also gaining a comprehensive impression of our school environment, from classroom teaching to our specialist facilities. The science laboratory, library and art room were all visited in detail. It was a productive, open and honest exchange that reaffirmed our confidence in the path we have chosen.

The Next Step

With this visit, we have completed another stage in the formal accreditation process. Cambridge will now carefully review and evaluate the findings. We are approaching this stage with confidence and anticipation, and we will of course keep our school community fully informed as soon as we receive official feedback.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Ms Mao and to Cambridge for a professional and appreciative visit. We are very much looking forward to the next stage of our collaboration and to what this journey will mean for our learners.

Do you have any questions about our English-medium pathway? We would be delighted to speak with you.
