IGS Hefei at the IB Leadership Summit in Shanghai

On June 28th, IGS was a guest at the IB Educational Ecology Leadership Summit in Shanghai – a gathering of IB coordinators, school leaders, and educational innovators from across China.

The summit centered on a topic that couldn’t be more relevant: How can all IB programs – from PYP to MYP, DP, and CP – be holistically integrated within a school with a clear vision?

Forums and expert presentations facilitated the exchange of the latest developments, best practice examples, and strategies.

A particular highlight for us was the exchange with the art department of the host school.

The exhibited student works impressively demonstrated how deeply and thoughtfully young people can artistically explore themes like identity, environment, and technology.

Discussions with the teachers there generated exciting ideas – including for the further development of our own curriculum.

What does creative integration mean in subject-specific lessons? How can interdisciplinary work be combined with the learner profile? – These are questions we’re taking back to Hefei with much inspiration.
