During our Children’s Conference, the children once again had the opportunity to express their interests, make joint decisions, and actively take responsibility for their own learning. Their ideas formed the foundation for our planning and guided the direction of our new project:“Rainbows and Colors” –a theme that sparks curiosity, creativity, and a spirit of exploration.

Based on the children’s interests, our educational team prepared a variety of activities across different learning areas. Working interdisciplinarily and holistically, all teachers and specialists collaborated to ensure the topic could be explored from multiple perspectives and deepened in meaningful ways.

Over the past weeks, the project has accompanied us throughout the kindergarten day, in three languages and with all senses engaged. The children sang songs, played movement games, created imaginative artworks, and discovered colors in their environment.
They were especially excited by our color experiments: mixing colors with their hands and water, observing color gradients, and marveling at how white roses change color when placed in colored water.

Through play, movement, exploration, and creative expression, the children experienced colors, materials, and connections in a hands-on, meaningful way–a project initiated by the children and thoughtfully guided by our educators, making learning lively, joyful, and lasting.
