“Mens sana in corpore sano – A healthy mind in a healthy body.”
As a company operating in 45 countries in the field of sustainable catering, Sodexo looks back on 59 years of expertise and thus possesses the knowledge to implement a balanced, healthy cuisine in line with the IGS school philosophy in a magnificent way.

A healthy diet and sufficient exercise are an integral part of the IGS school philosophy. Especially for growing children, the right balance of proteins and carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals, alongside high-quality ingredients and proper preparation, is crucial.

We asked Chef Jimmy how he manages to meet his high culinary standards:
“When planning the menu for the following week, I take many details into account. For example, many Asians often prefer noodles and rice, Indian or Thai cuisine tends to be spicy, while European or Japanese cuisine has completely different flavor profiles. I integrate these aspects into the menu.”

In fact, this school restaurant, with its outdoor terrace and view of the green garden, feels more like a truly contemporary co-working space with a cafeteria. Traditional Chinese elements were partly incorporated into the modern design.

Teachers and administrative staff come and go here, work on laptops at standing desks, or meet for coffee in the specially designed coffee corners.

For school events, concerts, or conferences, the kitchen provides truly excellent catering. In addition to lunch, the restaurant offers breakfast and an afternoon snack, with the offerings set to be expanded this term.
