Safe and Curious in the Laboratory – Our Lab Introduction from Grade 5

Before our students from Grade 5 embark on the exciting world of laboratory experiments, an important first step is required: the introduction to the laboratory rules. In recent weeks, all year groups have been carefully introduced to working in the laboratory, the equipment, and of course the safety regulations.

Together with their science teachers, Mr. Vidmar and Mr. Kehm, the students learned how to move safely in the lab, how to use materials responsibly, and what to do in case of an emergency. Everything was explained in an age-appropriate and easy-to-understand way.

Learning Responsibility–From the Very Beginning

In addition to safety aspects, the focus was also on teamwork, consideration, and diligence. The students asked curious questions, showed great interest, and impressed everyone with their focused and responsible participation.

A Strong Foundation for Future Experiments

With this knowledge, our young researchers are now well prepared to explore scientific content safely and experimentally. The lab induction thus forms an important foundation–and the anticipation for their first experiments is already clearly noticeable.

A heartfelt thank-you goes to our teachers for the patient and thorough introduction, and to our students for their wonderful engagement. We look forward to many exciting and safe moments in the laboratory!
