Every day, our students enjoy a varied and high-quality lunch prepared by our dedicated kitchen team in the school cafeteria. Yet, the cafeteria is far more than just a place to eat – it is a welcoming space and an important meeting point for our school community.
As part of a project on “Healthy and Balanced Nutrition” in their science lessons, our 3rd and 4th graders helped to decorate and enhance the cafeteria.

They greatly enjoyed discovering and matching all the ingredients used in a quiz entitled “Which Ingredient Am I?” and learned the corresponding vocabulary in three languages: German, English, and Chinese.

The children also explored how a school cafeteria might have looked 100 years ago, linking their findings to the current Learning Landscape theme, “School – Then and Now. ”

With great enthusiasm, the pupils filled spices and food items into decorative tins, which now form the letters IGS on a magnetic wall – a colorful and creative symbol of our vibrant school life.
