Mr. Tim Jägeler (Executive Director VfL Wolfsburg China) and Ms. Liu Na (General Manager VfL Wolfsburg China) recently visited the International German School Hefei (IGS Hefei). Headmistress Heide Schaffer and Jessie Wu (Executive President) welcomed the guests. It quickly became clear that this was a perfect match.

After all, VfL Wolfsburg brings not only Bundesliga experience but also German football culture. Endurance, discipline, team spirit, and passion are central – values that IGS Hefei also imparts to its students. It’s no wonder that both sides immediately developed joint plans: youth football camps, coach workshops, and exciting school projects are therefore soon to become reality.

Tim Jägeler emphasized that the international environment and excellent infrastructure of IGS Hefei offer an ideal foundation for youth football development. He expressed his excitement about combining VfL Wolfsburg’s expertise with school education to instill a lifelong joy of sports and exercise in more students.

This cooperation benefits both sides: Students gain access to professional training, while VfL Wolfsburg can expand its youth development work in China.
