On 8 May, Qin Junfeng, Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Anhui Provincial People’s Government, accompanied by Liu Sheng, Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of Hefei Economic and Technological Development Zone, paid an official visit to IGS.

The delegation was welcomed by Anthony Gong, Chairman of the Board; Heide Schaffer, Head of School; and Jessie Wu, Executive President of the School, who accompanied them throughout the visit. During their tour of the campus, the delegation viewed the school’s facilities and received a detailed briefing on IGS’s educational philosophy, curriculum, international teaching team, and provision for international children in Anhui.

Director Qin commended IGS for its achievements in international education. He noted that the school has effectively addressed the educational needs of children from international families, supported Hefei’s international development, and played an important role in advancing Anhui’s opening-up and international exchange. He also acknowledged the school’s development needs and suggestions.

IGS expressed its sincere gratitude for the guidance and support provided by the authorities. Looking ahead, the school will continue to strengthen its international education programmes, draw fully on its multicultural strengths, and make further contributions to enhancing Hefei’s international business environment and promoting Anhui’s international exchange.
