A little flour here, a rolling pin there – and lots of laughter all around! Last Wednesday, our Kindergarten cafeteria turned into a busy little bakery as children, families and teachers came together for a special afternoon of baking.
With little hands ready to get messy, the children and their families rolled out the dough, cut out goose-shaped cookies and decorated them with icing and colourful sprinkles. The cafeteria was filled with excitement as families enjoyed spending time together and preparing a special treat for our upcoming Lantern Festival.

Our goose-shaped cookies, known in German as Martinsgänse, have their roots in a traditional German custom. We love the idea of sharing traditions from different backgrounds and turning them into experiences that everyone can enjoy. After all, traditions become even more special when they bring people together!
After proudly enjoying the tasty cookies they had made, the children headed home with happy faces and full bellies. The remaining cookies will be shared with the wider school community during our Lantern Festival next week. This way, each little cookie carries a piece of the children’s creativity and becomes a lovely symbol of togetherness, sharing and spreading happiness.

A big thank you to all the families who joined us and to our Kindergarten and kitchen teams for making this special afternoon possible.
We had a wonderful time baking together and can’t wait to celebrate our Lantern Festival with the whole school community!
