IGS has officially been certified as a Cambridge English Qualifications Test Venue, marking another important milestone in the school’s commitment to delivering internationally recognised education and language learning opportunities.
The certification ceremony was held on campus and attended by Heide Schaffer, Head of School; Jessie Wu, Executive President; Tobias Steier, Deputy Head of School; and Jason Sun, Executive Director of the Authorised Cambridge English Qualifications Exam Centre.
In her opening address, Heide Schaffer expressed her appreciation for the official certification and highlighted IGS’s longstanding commitment to multicultural education and developing globally minded learners. She noted that this new partnership will provide students with access to a trusted, internationally recognised platform for English language learning and assessment.

Deputy Head Tobias Steier then introduced the school’s founding vision and highlighted the progress IGS has made since opening. He also outlined the school’s two educational pathways, with particular emphasis on the Cambridge programme. Through its carefully structured curriculum and ongoing professional development for teachers, the Cambridge pathway reflects IGS’s commitment to delivering high-quality English language education aligned with international standards.

Jason Sun commended IGS for its strong international education framework, high standards of English teaching, modern campus facilities, experienced teaching team and global outlook. He expressed his enthusiasm for building a long-term partnership that will further strengthen language teaching and assessment for students across the region.

Becoming an official Cambridge English Qualifications Test Venue represents a significant step forward in the continued development of language education at IGS. The certification enables the school to offer students direct access to internationally recognised English language qualifications in a professional and supportive environment. As IGS continues to expand its international programmes, this achievement further strengthens its commitment to preparing students with the skills, confidence and globally recognised qualifications they need to succeed in an increasingly interconnected world.
